Hilltribe Tour and the Mirror Foundation
Hilltribe Tour is a specialist company offering trekking and cultural
exchange with the hilltribes in the beautiful mountains of Chiang
Rai in Northern Thailand

Our parent organization, The Mirror Foundation, is a non-governmental organization that works with over 30,000 hilltribe
people (primarily with Akha and Lahu), empowering them to
improve their lives and deal with the many problems they face
; such as human and drug trafficking and the lack of
Thai citizenship.

We live, eat, play, and work with the hilltribe people. They are
our friends and family. As our guest, you will overcome the
barrier between tourists and villagers to experience their true
way of life.

Chiang Rai is a medium-sized town and capital of the northernmost province in Thailand. It is a city which offer western convenience at a Thai pace. Its sights include temples, museums, parks, a night market. Chiang Rai provides easier access to hilltribes than other centers such as Chiang Mai. It also offers the coolest climate in Thailand. The Myanmar (Burma) border market at Mae Sai, the Golden Triangle and the Chinese village at Mae Salong are all easy day trips from the city. More information can be found here. Chiang Rai can be reached by air from Bangkok.
